Psalm 32
Blessed is the one whose fault is removed, whose sin is forgiven. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputes no guilt, in whose spirit is no deceit. Because I kept silent, my bones wasted away; I groaned all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength withered as in dry summer heat. Then I declared my sin to you; my guilt I did not hide. I said, “I confess my transgression to the LORD,” and you took away the guilt of my sin. Therefore every loyal person should pray to you in time of distress. Though flood waters threaten, they will never reach him. You are my shelter; you guard me from distress; with joyful shouts of deliverance you surround me. I will instruct you and show you the way you should walk, give you counsel with my eye upon you. Do not be like a horse or mule, without understanding; with bit and bridle their temper is curbed, else they will not come to you. Many are the sorrows of the wicked one, but mercy surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous; exult, all you upright of heart.

Open your heart to God. Allow yourself some time to hear the message. Every day that passes will help you understand that we will all be in paradise and everlasting life. Reflect on where you are now, and if that place has grown dark, know that there is a light that you can walk into. Talk to God -- it will move you.

God, heavenly father, eternal spirit, fountain of light,
I thank you for giving me another day to live and light to see.
Since you have seen it good to give me life today,
do not abandon me, do not forsake me,
but be with me as I walk the path laid out for me.
Be behind me as my protector, be before me as my guide,
be beside me as my companion, and be above me as my God.
Shed your light on my path that I may see where I go.
Lighten the burden on my shoulders that I may go without hesitation.
Enlighten my heart that I may go with fortitude, courage, and wisdom
wherever I may be.
Grant that I may not err, wander, or stray from my path at any place or at any time.
Grant that I may always make progress on my path each and every day, no matter how little, no matter how slowly,
that I may one day accomplish my true will and destination.
Grant that if anyone walks on my path, that I may walk with them in a spirit of perfect brotherhood and fellowship.

There was a wound. There is a scar. It doesn't hurt any more.
Why should I want to remember the pain?
I choose not to. I take a lesson from it. I am here now.

May 5 Father, wonderful counselor, how great it is to worship you.
Lord Jesus, the truth. Oh Holy Spirit, let us shed abroad your love.
Oh word of God incarnate that gives us the security of eternity. Thank you for tonight.
Take these thoughts and fuse them so that we will reflect on them, Lord,
and help us then to understand in the new day, how when we worship you,
your truth feeds us, and fuses us with meaning.
There is no other way we can look to Lord, and nobody else to whom we can turn, but to you.
